The four rules we publish under

  • No paid placements — ever
  • Every verdict signed by a named human
  • Built by people from inside Australian broking
  • Methodology and criteria published in full

Pick the decision you are actually making

All 27 categories

Most brokers arrive with one question — which CRM, which serviceability tool, which way to collect documents. Start with the category, not the product.

Head to head

Two products, one criteria sheet, one verdict

All comparisons

Where a category comes down to a straight choice, we run both in parallel against the same weighted sheet and publish which one we would put in a brokerage.

The closest calls in each category — two products that sit next to each other, scored against the same weighted sheet. Open a matchup to see the category it belongs to and everything else we track in it.

One of these matchups includes Finance OS, which we build. It is scored against the same published criteria as everything else, and it is marked as ours everywhere it appears. How we test.

The method

A verdict you can audit line by line

Anyone can call a product the best. The question is what that judgement was made against, by whom, and when. Read the full methodology and the scored criteria — then judge our verdicts against them.

  1. Real accounts, real weeks

Every tool runs in a live account with realistic broker data for at least a working week — not a vendor demo.

  2. Scored against published criteria

Each category has fixed, weighted criteria. Every product is scored against the same sheet, and the sheet is public.

  3. Signed, dated verdicts

A named human signs every verdict with the date it was last tested. Stale reviews get retested or pulled.

All guides

Long-form guides on the decisions underneath the software choice — what a compliant file needs, what a stack should cost, where clients actually drop out. Researched and sourced, not sponsored.

Data & Security

TFN redaction and secure document handling

Remove TFNs and any other identifier the recipient does not need before submitting documents. Use an approved redaction tool that permanently removes underlying text, images and hidden data; a drawn black box is not enough. Save a separate redacted copy, verify it by searching and copying, submit securely, and retain only what your approved process requires.

Document Collection

The complete broker document request checklist

Start every document request with a core pack covering identity, income, assets, liabilities, expenses and the transaction. Then add only the checklist that matches the applicant’s employment, entity and loan scenario. Confirm currency and lender policy before sending, provide secure upload instructions, and review every document for completeness and unnecessary identifiers.

Automation

How brokers can reduce double data entry

Reduce double entry by controlling how data enters the brokerage. Capture structured answers through approved digital forms, separate person data from deal data, preserve source and time, verify against supporting evidence, then map approved values into the CRM and aggregator. Automate the transfer; keep consequential verification and exceptions with a person.

The product we build

Your pipeline is fine. The follow-up is where it leaks.

Enquiries arrive in one place, documents in another, and the follow-up lives in somebody’s head. Finance OS closes that gap — finance-ready funnels, automated follow-up, one inbox for SMS, email and social, and post-settlement nurture that runs without you remembering to run it.

From AUD $97 a month. No lock-in, cancel any time, and the onboarding fee is refunded in full before onboarding begins.

Finance OS is scored against the same published criteria as everything else, by a named reviewer. See how it compares.

What runs inside it

  • Finance-ready funnels

Enquiry forms and landing pages built for broking, not adapted from a generic template.

  • Follow-up that runs itself

Sequences fire on the deal stage, so nothing waits on somebody remembering to send it.

  • One inbox

SMS, email and social conversations land in a single thread per client.

  • Post-settlement nurture

The book stays warm after settlement — the point most pipelines simply stop.

The same test, filmed inside the tool

All videos

Every review is recorded in the live account it was tested in, so you can watch the workflow rather than take our word for how it runs.

  • Watch

    How we test broker software

  • The channel

Every review is filmed in the account it was tested in

Written verdicts tell you what we concluded. The recordings show the workflow we concluded it from — the same account, the same client data, uncut.

    • The full run-through, not a highlight reel
    • Filmed at the time of testing and dated with it
    • Re-filmed when a product changes enough to move its score

The whole toolkit

Buying one tool is easy. Making six agree is the job.

All stacks

A stack is the answer to the question a single review cannot settle: what runs alongside it, what it replaces, and what the whole thing costs a month.

  • Solo broker

    Solo Broker Starter Stack

    Monthly total — being priced

  • By brokerage size

A stack for the size you actually are

The right stack for a solo broker is the wrong one for a team of eight. Each stack is built around a brokerage of a particular size and priced in AUD, so the monthly total is the real number rather than a starting point.

    • Small brokerage — two to five brokers, shared pipeline
    • Growing team — support staff, handoffs and reporting
    • Lean and low-cost — the least you can run a book on

How we make money

Negotiated directly, and never for a better verdict

All deals

Where we can get brokers a better price than the public one, we do. Rankings are scored before any offer is discussed, and every commercial link is marked.

The order of operations

Scored first. Priced second. In that order, always.

A product is scored against the published criteria before anyone talks to its vendor about a price. If a deal is agreed afterwards it changes what you pay — never where the product ranks, and never whether it is recommended.

  • No vendor sees its score before publication
  • No placement, badge or position has ever been sold
  • Every commercial link is marked as one, on every page

What gets listed

Better than the price you could get yourself

An offer only earns a place here if it beats the public price. Terms and expiry are published in full — no “contact us for pricing”, and no offer that quietly expires without the page saying so.

  • Better than the public price, or it is not listed
  • Terms and expiry shown in full
  • Marked as commercial wherever it appears

Proof

We publish proof, or we publish nothing

Every broker software site you have read carries a wall of glowing quotes. Ours is empty on purpose. A testimonial is evidence, and evidence has a standard — the same standard we apply to a product before we score it.

  • Named broker, named brokerage, and their permission on file
  • A result we can point at, not an adjective about how it felt
  • The date it was given — and it comes down when it goes stale

Before you ask

The questions brokers open with

Mostly about money — who pays us, and what that buys. Short answers, and the long ones are linked.

Who is Finance OS for?

Australian mortgage and finance brokers choosing the software they run their business on — solo brokers through to brokerage owners and the operations people who have to make the tools agree with each other.

Do vendors pay to be listed, ranked or recommended?

No. There are no paid placements, no sponsored positions and no badge a vendor can buy. Where we negotiate a better price for brokers we take a commercial arrangement, and every link that carries one is marked as such on the page it appears on.

You build a broker platform. How can your rankings be independent?

Finance OS is scored against the same published criteria as every other product, by a named reviewer, and it is disclosed as ours everywhere it appears — including where it ranks below a competitor. The disclosure is automatic on any category we compete in, not something we remember to add.

What is a verdict actually scored against?

Each category has a fixed set of weighted criteria, published in full before any product is scored against them. Every product in that category is scored on the same sheet, and the sheet does not change between products.

What does the Finance OS platform cost?

From AUD $97 a month. Scale and Dominate add a one-off onboarding fee. There is no lock-in, you can cancel any time, and the onboarding fee is refunded in full before onboarding begins.

Stay current

Software changes. So do the verdicts.

A review is accurate on the day it was written and no later. We email when a verdict changes, when a category is re-tested, and when a price moves — not on a schedule.

What lands in your inbox

  • A new category verdict, when a category finishes testing
  • A re-test, when a product changes enough to move its score
  • A price change worth knowing about, including our own
  • Nothing else — no sponsored placements dressed as advice
