Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 17 August 2026

This policy forms part of our Terms of Use and should be read with them. It covers this website, our community, and the Finance OS product.

Who we are

This site is operated by Tumai Meroiti (ABN 75 527 278 804) trading as Finance OS. Contact: hello@financeos.au.

Using this website

You may read, link to and quote our content with attribution. You must not:

  • copy, republish or redistribute substantial parts of our content without our written permission;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract our content, scores or data;
  • use our content to train a machine-learning model without our written permission;
  • present our verdicts, scores or criteria as your own, or alter them and attribute the result to us;
  • interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorised access;
  • use automated systems to place undue load on the site;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection with us.

Our community

Our community is free and open to anyone building their own systems. It runs on Skool, a third-party platform, and Skool's own terms apply to your use of it alongside this policy.

What we expect. Contribute in good faith. Share what has worked and what has not. Disagree with the argument, not the person.

What is not acceptable:

  • abuse, harassment, discrimination or threats;
  • posting someone else's personal information, or a client's details, without their consent — this matters more here than in most communities, because members are brokers handling other people's financial records;
  • spam, unsolicited promotion, recruitment or affiliate links;
  • financial product advice or credit assistance to other members unless you are licensed to give it, and it is clear you are giving it in that capacity;
  • income or earnings claims about any product or strategy that you cannot substantiate;
  • posting confidential material belonging to an employer, aggregator or lender;
  • content that infringes someone's copyright or other rights;
  • anything unlawful.

What we may do. We may remove content, and suspend or remove a member, where this policy is breached. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will normally ask first. Where it involves someone's personal information, unlawful content or a serious risk to another member, we may act immediately.

Because the community runs on Skool, removal from the community may also be subject to Skool's own processes.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it in connection with the community and the site.

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.

We do not systematically monitor member content, but we review it when it is reported to us. To report something, email hello@financeos.au. Tell us where it is and what the problem is, and we will respond within 5 business days.

Using Finance OS

If you subscribe to Finance OS, these additional rules apply.

Messaging. You are the sender of every message you send through the platform. You must:

  • have consent before sending marketing messages, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) — and be able to prove it, because the burden is on the sender;
  • identify yourself correctly in every message, using your legal name or your name and ABN;
  • include an unsubscribe facility that works without requiring a login, an account, or extra personal information;
  • comply with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth) for any calling.

Data. Only load personal information you are entitled to hold. You are responsible for your own privacy obligations to your clients. Do not use the platform to store data you have no lawful basis for.

The platform. Do not resell, sublicense or white-label Finance OS to third parties without our written agreement. Do not reverse engineer it, attempt to extract its underlying platform, or use it to build a competing product.

Fair use. Do not use the platform in a way that places disproportionate load on it or degrades it for other users.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content here infringes your copyright, email hello@financeos.au with enough detail to identify the material and your rights in it. We will look into it promptly.

Consequences

Where you breach this policy we may remove content, suspend or terminate your access, and where the breach causes us loss, recover that loss from you.

Where the breach is fixable, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a reasonable opportunity to fix it before we terminate — except where the breach is unlawful, involves someone else's personal information, or presents a serious risk, in which case we may act immediately.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law which cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when we last did.
