Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 August 2026
This policy explains how we handle personal information. It is written to the standard of the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who we are
This website is operated by Tumai Meroiti (ABN 75 527 278 804) trading as Finance OS ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at hello@financeos.au or by mail at 259 Normanby Road, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205.
What personal information we collect
Information you give us:
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Booking a demo | Name, email, phone, business name, and what you tell us about your brokerage |
| Creating an account | Name, email, password, account preferences |
| Subscribing to updates | Email address |
| Taking the quiz | Your answers, and contact details if you choose to give them |
| Contacting us | Name, email, and whatever you put in your message |
| Joining the community | Name, email, and anything you post |
| Subscribing to Finance OS | The above, plus billing details handled by our payment processor |
Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location derived from IP, recorded in our host's server logs. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect sensitive information as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We do not buy personal information from anyone, and we do not collect it from data brokers, list providers or scraping tools.
How we collect it
Directly from you, when you fill in a form, create an account or contact us. Automatically, through server logs when you use the site. From our payment processor, when you subscribe — we receive confirmation and limited billing details, never your full card number.
We do not collect personal information about you from third parties.
Why we collect it, and what we do with it
| Purpose | What we do |
|---|---|
| Provide the service | Run your account, deliver Finance OS, provide support |
| Respond to you | Answer enquiries, book and run demos |
| Send you things you asked for | Newsletter, product updates, quiz results |
| Marketing | Tell you about our products — only where you have consented, and always with an unsubscribe |
| Improve the site | Understand which reviews are read and what to publish next |
| Billing | Take payment, issue invoices, keep tax records |
| Legal and security | Meet our obligations, protect the site, resolve disputes |
We do not use your personal information for any purpose you would not reasonably expect, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Our platform provider (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) | Hosts the Finance OS product and our CRM |
| Our website host | Serves this website and keeps its access logs |
| Our payment processor | Takes payment |
| Our community platform (Skool) | Runs the community, if you join it |
| Professional advisers, or where required by law | Legal, accounting, or a lawful request |
We do not currently run any analytics or advertising service on this website. At the date above this site sets no cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. If that changes, this policy and the Cookie Policy change first.
We require these providers to protect your information and to use it only to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal information and we do not disclose it for another organisation's direct marketing.
Overseas disclosure
Yes — some of your personal information is stored and processed outside Australia.
Our platform provider's infrastructure is located in the United States. Our website host and our community platform may also process data in the United States and other countries.
Before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
If you are a Finance OS customer: your clients' data
If you subscribe to Finance OS, you will load your own clients' personal information into the platform.
That information remains yours. We hold and process it on your behalf, to provide the service to you. We do not use it for our own purposes and we do not sell it. It is stored on our platform provider's infrastructure in the United States.
You are responsible for your own privacy obligations to your clients, including under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where it applies to you. Brokers hold highly sensitive financial records, and your obligations to your clients are not transferred to us by using our product. We will help you meet them.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting who can see what.
No system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will act in accordance with our obligations, including notification where required.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for the purposes above, and then as long as the law requires. Australian tax law requires transaction records to be kept for at least five years. Account data is retained for 30 days after cancellation so you can export it, then deleted or de-identified.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it. Email hello@financeos.au. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not charge for making a request. If we refuse access or correction we will tell you why in writing, and how to complain about that decision.
If you have an account, you can also view and update much of your information by logging in.
Marketing and how to stop it
We send marketing only where you have consented. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click — you never need to log in or create an account to unsubscribe. If we send you SMS, replying STOP will end it.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service messages about your account, billing or security.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us at hello@financeos.au. Describe what happened and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or by phone on 1300 363 992.
You can also write to us at 259 Normanby Road, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when we last did. Where a change is material we will describe what changed, and where it materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
